Lichen Poem: Californian Day

The Californian Sun Rises

On another Californian Day

Filled with love, and Surprises

The land where we roam free ‘n Play

Skating on the boardwalk

Skirting on the street

Listening to the caw of a hawk

As I watch Street Dancers Compete

You can go to Beautiful San Diego

Where the Poppys, and Lupine’s grow

In harmony with tree’s of Green

And streets pristine and Clean

Its Sweet California Not Seattle

No used Needles on the Ground

No chance of public battle

All have been seen and found

All live in peace

In America’s Masterpiece
