Lichen Poem: Gravity

Gravity holds me on this mortal plane

It holds you too

It holds us on this land

It hold us all in place

If it weren’t for gravity we’d all float up to space

Yet sometimes that seems so welcome

It seems as though we all have a time we want to go

We all have a time when we want a new life

It’s just a human thing

As human as giving a lover a ring
