Lichen Poem: It Killed Giants

Beneath the sands of Tijuana

Under the city in the Hot Dirt

Sleeping underneath the Desert unhurt

Left existentially Wert

It never stood a true fight

Yet It Killed the giants of its day like flies

Back when this land was a delight

With Green Grass and Purple Skies

Its Head once arose as it let out Shriek

As it tore down bushes seemingly 25-Feet Tall

Now it lies an undiscovered antique

To be sold at the nearest Mall

It died before dinosaurs roamed the earth

Before any Flood, or Messiah

It died before any Star did in Outer Space

And now we can’t find any Trace
